Talking about stepping on one of his cars: "That freaked me a little bit out." (It's almost like he's using dutch grammar on an english sentence.)
"My owie soaked away in the bath."
After Annabel made a little baby cooing noise, Alexander looked up at me in delight. "She said Mama!" Really, she was just making an "m" sound.
When Annabel was crying and I was trying (unsuccessfully) to comfort her: "You have to call her Sweetheart."
Upon discovering the flap at the front of his overalls--the one for peeing out of--and sticking his hand deep inside: "Mama! There's another pocket!!!!"
